The Third Council Meeting of the Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering Professional Alliance of Zhejiang Province Successfully Held

On September 20, 2024, with the support of the Mechanical Education Union of Excellent Engineers and the Textbook Management Division of the Department of Education of Zhejiang Province, the third council meeting of the first session of the Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering Professional Alliance of Zhejiang Province was successfully held by the beautiful West Lake in Hangzhou.

The meeting was chaired by Ji Huawei, Vice Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering at Hangzhou Dianzi University. The council reviewed and approved the Alliance Annual Report and a list of new council member recommendations. Seven new council members were elected: Li Yuntang from China Jiliang University, Chu Changyong from Hangzhou Dianzi University Information Engineering College, Guo Xiaomei from Zhejiang University of Water Resources and Electric Power, Zhu Yaodong from Jiaxing University, Zhu Yinfa from Lishui University, Ma Zhiyong from Huzhou Normal University, and Pan Hui from the Yuanpei College of Shaoxing University. Council Chair Professor Zhu Zefei presented certificates of appointment to the new members.

Council Chair Professor Zhu Zefei provided an overview of the construction of intelligent manufacturing engineering programs nationwide and in Zhejiang Province. He outlined specific requirements for the alliance's development in areas such as the integration of education and industry, curriculum construction, textbook development, and teaching research.

During the meeting, Professor Huang Jin, Dean of the School of Mechano-Eectronic Engineering at Xidian University, delivered an invited report titled Reflections and Practices in Cultivating Electronic and Mechanical Talent.

Sun Dabin, Chief Consultant of Trinity, presented an invited report titled Knowledge Graph AI Courses (Smart Courses) and the Construction of New-Format Textbooks.


Subsequently, members of the alliance offered suggestions and advice on the teaching and textbook development for intelligent manufacturing programs, as well as the alliance's growth. They expressed hopes that this platform would facilitate the exploration and exchange of new discoveries, issues, and ideas in the construction and talent cultivation processes of intelligent manufacturing engineering programs, contributing Zhejiang's strength to building intelligent manufacturing programs with Chinese characteristics!
